Drought Management
Although New Hampshire is typically thought of as a water-rich state, there are times the demand for water can be difficult to meet. A combination of the increased population and lack of precipitation can cause reduced water supplies in the state. Drought is a normal, recurrent feature of climate. It occurs almost everywhere.
As a member of the State's Drought Management Team, the Dam Bureau is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the Team in accordance with the State's Drought Management Plan.
