Purpose:

Accrediting authorities, within the scope and applicability of their prevailing rules and regulations, are required by section 6.2.g of the 2003 NELAC standards to establish one or more technical committees for assistance in interpretation of requirements and for advising the accrediting authority on the technical matters relating to the operation of its environmental laboratory accreditation program.
