NH Project WETFacilitators
Volunteer facilitators are the heart and soul of NH
Project WET. Over 40 people have been trained to
lead WET workshops in New Hampshire. They range in
expertise from classroom teachers and seasoned
nonformal educators to government personnel and
natural resource professionals.
Facilitators serve as guides, helping workshop
participants gain a better understanding of NH
Project WET - the program, its resources, and the
possibilities for learning that it offers. The role
of a NH Project WET facilitator is to help
participants make their own observations,
interpretations, and conclusions about Project WET,
and assist them in discovering the potential the
program holds for them as educators.
Today, NH Project WET trains its facilitators
through a comprehensive faciltator mentoring
process. Guidelines describing this process were
developed in conjunction with NH Projects WILD and
Learning Tree.
