NH Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act Workshop WORKSHOP FULL
About the Event
This workshop addresses the changes to the NH Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act. This is an opportunity to learn about the new permitting requirements, how to quantify the vegetation in the waterfront buffer, how to landscape for wildlife, how to control stormwater runoff from your property, and how to stabilize and restore shorelines. The session pertaining to the waterfront buffer will be outside on the lake waterfront with a demonstration on how to measure and map trees, along with a presentation from a Certified Arborist. DES staff and engineering and environmental professionals from across the state will conduct the presentations. Several vendors including, manufacturers and retailers of pervious surfaces, non-profit organizations, and DES programs will have displays.
This workshop is designed for shorefront property owners, developers, contractors, builders, landscapers, municipal officials, Realtors, and others interested in the new changes to the NH Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act that took effect on July 1, 2008.
Continuing Education Units: will be offered for attendance at the workshop.
