Seabrook Drinking Water Project
Largest ARRA-funded Drinking Water Project in New Hampshire
You are invited to join Tom Burack, DES Commissioner, Stephen Perkins, Acting Deputy US EPA Region 1 Administrator and representatives from the Town of Seabrook for a ground breaking ceremony of a new ground water treatment facility. A major amount of the project is being funded through a loan from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). This financing is providing $5 million of the $7.344 million construction cost which is the largest ARRA loan issued from the DWSRF.

The new ground water treatment facility will serve approximately 14,000 people in Seabrook. The facility will provide arsenic, iron and manganese, and radon treatment in addition to consolidating operations of the Seabrook Water Department. Completion of this new treatment facility will bring the water system into compliance with an Administrative Order by Consent the town entered into with DES.
