DES and BIA to Host Water Symposium
Day-long symposium on Nov. 17 will feature presentations from EPA Regional Administrator Curt Spalding and DES Commissioner Tom Burack.
Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and the Business and Industry Association will present a day-long symposium on November 17 on water use and regulation in New Hampshire. The symposium, which includes continental breakfast and lunch, will be held at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost to attend is $95 for BIA and Capitol Connect members and $130 for non members.
Ideal for directors, managers, consultants, lawyers and other employees who deal with a variety of environmental and water use issues within their companies, the water symposium will provide a full day of programs addressing topics such as reports from legislative water study commissions, new proposals for surface water quality standards, stormwater management during commercial or industrial property redevelopment.
DES Commissioner Tom Burack will be discussing DES’s strategic direction within the context of long-term sustainability and climate change, and the department’s current water resources planning effort.
EPA Regional Administrator Curt Spalding will keynote the luncheon and share his thoughts on national environmental and regulatory trends that will impact New Hampshire’s regulatory community.
