Comment Period Extended on Proposed Lamprey Designated River Water Management Plan to June 20, 2011
Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES) has completed the Proposed Lamprey Designated River Water Management Plan (Lamprey Report). In accordance with the provisions of Laws of 2002, Chapter 278, DES held a public hearing on the Lamprey Report on May 11, 2011. The law requires that DES hold a public comment period of at least 30 days and as such the original deadline for submitting public comments was June 10, 2011. In to provide additional opportunity for public comment, DES is extending that deadline until 4:00 p.m. on June 20, 2011.
Copies of the Lamprey Report are available for review. Compact discs containing the report in .pdf format are available from DES upon request. The Lamprey Report is available for review or as a free CD at: DES Public Information Center in Concord, Lee Public Library and Durham Public Library. The report may also be downloaded from the DES website at http://des.nh.gov/organization/divisions/water/wmb/rivers/instream/lamprey/water-management-plan.htm.
DES shall consider the public comments received in making revisions to the Lamprey Report. The comment period is open until 4:00 p.m. June 20, 2011. Questions and comments should be submitted in writing to:
