New Hampshire to Celebrate Drinking Water Week 2012
Concord, NH – The N.H. Department of Environmental Services is kicking off Drinking Water Week 2012 with a call to “Celebrate the Essential” throughout New Hampshire.
Throughout the week, DES will celebrate water by recognizing the essential role drinking water plays in our daily lives, with special attention to water infrastructure, the value of water, and issues affecting our water resources.
“Drinking water is one of New Hampshire’s most precious resources, and keeping it safe, clean and abundant through careful management and protection is vital to the state’s economy and public health,” said DES Drinking Water and Groundwater Bureau Administrator Sarah Pillsbury.
To commemorate the occasion, water utilities, policy makers, educators, and others will celebrate drinking water through school events and public presentations.
