Public Hearing Notice
Lake Level Investigation – Pleasant Lake, Deerfield and Northwood

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is conducting a Lake Level Investigation of Pleasant Lake in Deerfield and Northwood, in accordance with state statutes RSA 482:79-81. As part of the Lake Level Investigation, DES will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Deerfield Town Hall, 10 Church Street in Deerfield. 

At this hearing, DES will make a brief presentation on how it operates the dam to manage the level of Pleasant Lake, and will describe the recent reconstruction of the dam and improvements in its operability. DES will also briefly present information on the ecological considerations in managing the level of the lake. Following the presentation, DES will take comments from the public regarding lake levels and the operation of the dam.
