New Hampshire Green Slopes
Biodiesel at NH Ski Facilities
In 2007, the NHPPP partnered with the Granite Sate Clean Cities Coalition on a workshop entitled “Reducing Emissions One Engine at a Time.” One topic covered was the benefits of using biodiesel blends as an alternative to diesel fuel for ski mountain operations. Below are the biodiesel presentations given at the workshop.
In New Hampshire there were three facilities using biodiesel in either their groomers or to heat the lodges as of July 2007. Currently, there are seven facilities using or going through the process of adopting biofuels as their primary source of fuel.
