Geologic Mapping Program

A major program objective of the New Hampshire Geological Survey is to systematically map the bedrock geology and surficial deposits of the entire state. The federal STATEMAP Program under the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program, authorized by the National Mapping Act of 1992, provides an annual source of matching funds to support this effort. NHGS has been very successful in competing with other state surveys nationally for STATEMAP funding. more...
