The NHPPP partnered with Ski NH on a workshop entitled "Tanks and Teams." The tanks portion of the workshop focuses on proper tank management and rules regarding spill prevention plans. Proper tank management is essential in order to run a sustainable business both environmentally and monetarily. The ski industry sector has numerous opportunities for their fluid storage area to be out of compliance and the DES has put together presentations with information that can help to reduce the number of violations. Below are presentations given at the workshop.
- Overview of the NH Storage Tank Program (Mike Juranty)
- AST Program (Bob Daniel)
- UST Program (Tom Beaulieu)
- SPCC Rules (Don Grant)
- Web Information Available – One Stop (Tom Beaulieu)
- Ragged Mountain Resort Case Study (Dave Suckling and Jon Warzocha)
In New Hampshire there are 22 facilities that may fall under Aboveground and Underground Storage Tanks. There are many regulations that can be confusing for tanks, and DES has created fact sheets and applications for all tanks, drums and fluid containers, some of which can be found below. For more fact sheets and informational packets, please visit ASTs and USTs.
