Educational Component
The grant program requires that communities conduct educational activities about household hazardous wastes. These educational programs should teach about potential dangers and the proper means for disposal, as well as information about ways to reduce the generation of HHW. To help communities with the educational component, the Department maintains examples of pamphlets, press releases, advertisements, videos and other informational materials. To find out about these materials check out the Educational Information Page. The HHW program is also available to help you with your educational outreach.
