Air Resources Council

RSA 21-O:11 establishes an Air Resources Council composed of eleven members including representatives from various industry sectors, municipal government, recreation, public interests, environmental interests, and public health. The members of the Air Resources Council must be New Hampshire residents and are appointed by the Governor with the consent of the Executive Council for a term of four years.

Duties of the Air Resources Council include:

  • To consult with and advise the Director of the Air Resources Division with respect to the policy, programs, goals, and operations of the Division, with particular emphasis on long-range planning for the Division, and on education of the public relative to the functions of the Division, on a continuing basis.
  • To hear and decide all appeals from Department decisions relative to the functions and responsibilities of the Air Resources Division.
  • To review all rules proposed to be implemented by the Air Resources Division.
