Federal Boiler Rule
Over 10,000 industrial, commercial and institutional boilers are in use in New Hampshire. The emissions from these boilers release particulate matter, carbon monoxide, and hazardous air pollutants such as hydrochloric acid, mercury and trace amounts of other heavy metals. The US Environmental Protection Agency published two rules to address these emissions from oil, bio-fuel, coal fired boilers and process heaters.
