Reminder: Annual Emission Statements & Emission-Based Fees are due every year by April 15.
Due to the delay in the actual notice of the per ton fee, DES is extending the deadline for receipt of the annual emissions statements and the emission-based fees from April 15, 2013 to May 15, 2013.
For calendar year 2012 emissions, the dollar per ton fee rate is $205.27. This is the base fee rate of $60.00 per ton of air pollutant multiplied by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) multiplier of 1.6480 and the Inventory Stabilization factor (ISF) of 2.076. A minimum fee of $205.27 is due even if total emissions are less than one ton.
DES will NOT send an invoice for emission-based fees unless one is requested. Please note that if an invoice is needed, the emission statements should be submitted to DES as soon as possible, to allow for reviewing and processing to ensure payment is received by May 15, 2013.
