Underground Storage Tank Program
Underground Storage Tank Facility Registration

Purpose
To minimize land and water contamination and to assist underground storage tank facility owners gain and maintain eligibility to Oil Discharge Cleanup Funds.

Applicability
Applies to owners of all underground storage tank (UST) facilities having an individual tank capacity greater than 110 gallons or of unknown size that store a regulated substance. Facilities owners storing less than the above amounts must also register if they have experienced a release and are applying to the Oil Discharge and Disposal Cleanup Fund or the Fuel Oil Discharge Cleanup Fund. Does not apply to owners of non-residential heating oil USTs not larger than 1,100 gallons and all residential heating oil USTs.

Fee
None.

Processing Time
Registration complete upon Underground Storage Tank Program receipt of a complete registration form signed by the UST facility owner.

Term/Renewal
Not applicable.

Modification/Amendments
Any change in equipment must be reported within 10 days to the Underground Storage Tank Program using a Registration for Underground Storage Tank Systems Microsoft Word Symbol form.

Transferability
Any change of ownership must be reported within 10 days to the Underground Storage Tank Program using the Registration for Underground Storage Tank Systems Microsoft Word Symbol form.

Appeals
Any person aggrieved by a final decision can appeal to the Waste Management Council in accordance with RSA 21-0:9
