Most regulations tell you what you have to do to be in compliance, but they don't explain how to do it. That's where best management practices (BMPs) become most useful. BMPs are practical, non-nonsense methods that can help you to get into compliance and stay there.
The NH Green Yards Program has produced the following BMP guide sheets on a variety of topics to help motor vehicle recyclers and other interested parties identify environmentally friendly ways to dismantle cars for parts and scrap.
Additional guide sheets are being prepared at this time and will be added to the list below, as they are finished.
NH Green Yards Environment Guidance Manual
BMP Guide Sheets for Motor Vehicle Recyclers are being mailed to New Hampshire's motor vehicle recyclers in installments, for compilation into a reference manual as pictured above. You can compile a manual yourself by downloading the guide sheets listed at the left, along with the manual cover materials.
