Pursuant to RSA 485-C:21, Approval for Large Groundwater Withdrawals, any facility that withdraws 57,600 gallons or more of groundwater in any 24-hour period from a well or wells installed after July 1998 is required to have a large groundwater withdrawal permit. Large groundwater withdrawals from a well or wells installed prior to August 1, 1998 do not require a permit, nor are they subject to withdrawal limits. See Issued Large Groundwater Withdrawal Permits for a list of facilities with large groundwater withdrawal permits.
Any facility using in excess of 20,000 gallons of water per day (averaged over any 7-day period), or more than 600,000 gallons of water (over any 30-day period), is required to be registered with and reporting their water use to the New Hampshire Water Use Registration and Reporting Program. Please contact the Water Use Registration and Reporting Program for information about obtaining water use data reported by registered facilities.
Please contact the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Beverage and Bottled Water Inspection and Licensing Program for information about inspections, licensing, or water quality testing results related to a specific facility.
