Municipal Drinking Water Lab Advisory Group

The Municipal Drinking Water Lab Advisory Group was formed in 2008. It is a small committee of volunteers from municipal water systems throughout New Hampshire. This group represents both large and small water systems, recognizing that regardless of a water system’s size, they share common issues and concerns. Drinking water laboratory personnel face many challenges today as water quality standards become increasingly more stringent. The advisory group works with DES on a number of collaborative efforts, such as providing training opportunities and the creation of a support network for people in the field to exchange ideas and experiences. The advisory group meets several times a year on an as-needed basis, and meetings are open to all interested individuals.

Training

• The New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) is currently offering courses at the Franklin Training Center (Wastewater Facility) in Franklin, NH.
