Training
Although there is no requirement for operators to attend training to become certified it is strongly recommended. The available introductory courses enhance the ability of an applicant to pass the certification exam. Operators applying for recertification are required to complete training contact hours (TCH) pertaining to the operation, design, or maintenance of public water systems. These courses must be approved by the DWGB prior to the training. A partial list of approved scheduled courses presented by DES and our partners is presented below.
