Well Reporting Requirements for Water Well Drillers and Technical Drillers
Notice to all Licensed Well Drillers

New Well Construction Reporting Requirements for Technical and Water Well Drillers

Legislation passed in 2007 that takes effect on December 8, 2007 requires all well drillers to comply with new well construction and reporting requirements.

For Water Well Drillers, the new well completion reporting requirements stipulate that: 1) the tax map and lot number; 2) the 911 street address (if available); and 3) GPS coordinates be provided on well completion reports for all new wells installed.

For Technical Drillers, the new well completion reporting requirements stipulate that the technical well driller submit the following information to the Water Well Board: 1) A well completion report for the deepest monitoring well installed at a property; 2) A well completion report for all monitoring wells installed in bedrock; 3) A map or sketch showing the location of all new monitoring wells installed at a property; and 4) Monitoring well location information, including tax map and lot, 911 street address (if available), and GPS coordinates for the deepest monitoring well and all monitoring wells installed into bedrock.
