Sensitive Ferns Lot, Candia The mission of the Wetlands Bureau is to protect, maintain and enhance the environmental quality in New Hampshire through the powers set forth in RSA 482-A to regulate impacts to those areas "wherever the tide ebbs and flows" or "freshwater flows or stands."

The Wetlands Program reaches between 3,000 – 5,000 people annually through 20 - 40 presentations and events given across the state. In January - March of each year, all-day, multi-topic workshops are offered on three dates.

Outreach presentations include such topics as wetlands resources and permitting, prime wetlands designation, and pond construction and maintenance. Contact the Wetlands Program for information about sponsoring a workshop in your community.
