PUBLIC GOVERNMENT BUSINESS A to Z LIST

How can I find out details on payments into the ARM Fund?

A payment ledger has been created and can be accessed at the link below. The watershed ledger provides details on the projects that paid into the fund such as the location of the project, project type, the primary functions and values lost through the project, the amount of wetland loss, payment amount and the deposit date into the Fund.
Each watershed ledger notes the approximate date of the Request for Proposals for the funds to be advertised for release. The release date is generally two years following the deposit of the first payment into each watershed account. Once advertised, the funds in the account will be spent and a new two year period will start for the accumulation of funds.

ARM Fund Site Selection Committee
The DES Wetland Mitigation Coordinator manages the ARM fund and provides technical assistance to the Site Selection Committee. The Site Selection Committee has been established to guide the program operations and make decisions relative to what projects will be funded.

Members of the committee include representatives of the following agencies or organizations:

NH Department of Environmental Services
NH Fish & Game Department
NH Department of Resources and Economic Development, Natural Heritage Bureau
NH Office of Energy and Planning
NH Association of Natural Resource Scientists
NH Association of Conservation Commissions
Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests
The Nature Conservancy

The committee's goal is to evaluate and select high priority projects that provide compensation for the loss of aquatic resource functions and values that occur through multiple wetland impacts. The projects chosen by the committee consider the planning, implementation, monitoring and outreach components necessary in the completion of projects involving coastal and freshwater wetlands, streams, water bodies, and fish and wildlife habitat in New Hampshire.
