Recent Clean Vessel Act Projects
The New Hampshire Clean Vessel Act (CVA) Program, in cooperation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, is pleased to have the opportunity to invest in projects that continue to protect water resources. In 1992 the US Congress passed the Clean Vessel Act to reduce pollution from vessel sewage discharges by providing funds to construct, maintain and repair boat sewage pumpout facilities and operate mobile pumpout boat services.

Spring 2009
Lakeport Landing Marina, Laconia, Lake Winnipesaukee
Lakeport Landing Marina contributes to the water quality preservation of Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding area by providing the boating public with a pumpout service. The unit that was replaced operated for 19 years. Please call the marina at (603) 524-3755 for hours of operation.

Spring 2010
Channel Marine, Weirs Beach, Lake Winnipesaukee
Channel Marine offers repairs, sales and gasoline service in addition to a boat sewage pumpout facility. The unit that was replaced served the boating public for 20 years. Please call the marina at (603) 366-4801 for hours of operation.

Summer 2010
Mobile Pumpout Boat Service, Inland Lakes
The mobile pumpout service for the inland waters had a limited introduction on Newfound Lake, Bristol and Sunapee Lake, Sunapee. There are no stationary pumpout facilities available on Newfound Lake and only one dump station within Sunapee Harbor at Sunapee Lake. The pilot program concentrated on outreach efforts to the boating community for the 2010 season. To request service please call (603) PUMPOUT or (603) 786-7688.
