| Term of Service: | Committee appointments begin prior to initiation of protected instream flow study. Protected Instream Flow studies are to be completed by April 2007, adopted by October 2007, and a review report issued by December 2008 |
| Committee Composition: | 1 - Representative from New Hampshire Fish and Game Department 1 - Representative of the USEPA 1 - Representative of the USFWS 1 - Representative of the USGS 4 - Technical representatives of business interests, one of whom shall be a municipal water supplier. 4 - Technical representatives of conservation interests 2 - ex-officio representatives of the New Hampshire General Court; the chairperson of the senate environment committee, or designee, and the chairperson of the house resources, recreation, and development committee, or designee |
| Process of Appointment: | The Department sends requests for nominees to government agencies, Affected Water Users, the local river advisory committee, and business and conservation groups.
Organizations submit names and qualifications of nominated individuals to the Department and the Rivers Management Advisory Committee (RMAC). The RMAC meets to review nominations and recommend committee appointments. The Department appoints the committee members recommended by the RMAC and notifies members of the first meeting date. |
