To protect public health and the environment by establishing minimum technical standards and requirements for the planning, design, and construction of sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities, including solids handling and disposal facilities.
Any person proposing to construct or modify any of the following: 1) any extension of a collector or interceptor, whether public or private, regardless of flow; 2) any wastewater connection or other discharge in excess of 5,000 gallons/day; 3) any wastewater connection or other discharge to a WWTP operating in excess of 80 percent design flow capacity based on actual average flow for three consecutive months; 4) any sewage pumping station greater than 50 gpm or serving more than one building.

Application for Sewer Connection Permit
Application: $0.10/gallon/day for first 10,000 gallons/day, based on estimated average daily flow and $0.05/gallon/day for any flow in excess of 10,000 gallons/day.
Design Review: $200 per sheet of technical drawings in construction plans. Does not apply to municipal wastewater treatment facilities.
Term is two years. Construction of work must be started prior to permit expiration date. One two-year permit extension is typically granted upon request.
Submit revised plans and specifications to the Wastewater Engineering Bureau for review and approval prior to proceeding with modified design construction.
Written notification must be submitted to the Wastewater Engineering Bureau for review and approval prior to the transfer.
