DES Workshop on the Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act
Workshop Wednesday, May 28, 2008

Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services will conduct a workshop May 28, 2008, on the amended Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act (CSPA) that becomes effective July 1, 2008.  The workshop will provide an opportunity for people living and working along our lakes and rivers to learn about the CSPA.   Details regarding the workshop are provided below:

WHAT:   Workshop on the amended CSPA that becomes effective July 1, 2008.
WHEN:   Wednesday, May 28, 2008; 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE:   Church Landing, the Inns at Mills Falls, Meredith, New Hampshire
COST:   $25 per person includes breakfast, beverages, attendance at the sessions; does not include lunch.
REGISTER:   To learn more about the workshop and to register, log on to http://www.des.state.nh.us/cspa/workshop.htm. Registration deadline is Thursday, May 22, 2008. You must pre-register for this workshop.  Space is limited to 150 attendees. Walk-in registrations will not be accepted. Continuing Education Units will be offered for attendance.
AGENDA:   8:30 a.m.: Welcome and an overview of the amended Comprehensive Shoreland Protection Act by DES Commissioner Thomas Burack.
9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: 4 sessions total, each with a choice of 4 different presentations.
2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: DES staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance with shoreland and wetland applications.
Vendor displays will be available all day.
AUDIENCE:   Contractors, Developers, Landscapers, Municipal officials, Realtors, Shorefront property owners.
