Volunteer River Assessment Program (VRAP)
VRAP Educational Resources
Education is an important part of the Volunteer River Assessment Program. Not only is it important to collect water quality data, it is also important to ensure that the public is aware of the value of New Hampshire's rivers. DES accomplishes this task in several manners.
Program staff are often asked to attend local river advisory committee association meetings to discuss water quality issues, such as non-point pollution, watershed management, river protection issues, and invasive species. Program staff are also invited to schools for river ecology and monitoring presentations and career day events. For more information, please call (603) 271-0699.
