This course will provide attendees with a focus on the requirements for Lock Out / Tag Out Safety as required per New Hampshire Department of Labor (NH-DOL) Rule 1403.35, and related PPE per NH-DOL rule 1403.43. The Lock Out / Tag Out process and related equipment needed to complete a task safely, will be discussed as well. This course will also provide attendees with a better understanding of how Electrical Distribution and Multi-Phase Service is integrated with Equipment Switches / Disconnects, Capacitors, and other components. Emergency and routine shutdowns of these systems can create significant safety hazards such as Arc Flash / Arc Blast if not done properly. Attendees will become aware of safer operating procedures during equipment de-energization.
