The Drinking Water and Groundwater Bureau welcomes the following staff members to the team!

Elizabeth Nerney joined the bureau as an Environmental Technician. She graduated in 2023 from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Marine, Estuarine and Freshwater Biology. She acquired field and laboratory experience in New Zealand collecting water quality data on nutrient levels, micro/macro invertebrates, vegetation, larval species and other important environmental parameters. Elizabeth will be working to help monitor various drinking water sources for cyanobacteria, collecting water quality data, analyzing data and assisting in the event of a cyanobacteria bloom in a drinking water source.

Christopher Watts started with the Drinking Water and Groundwater Bureau at the end of December as our Data Systems Planning Analyst. Chris previously worked for Cigna Healthcare as a data analyst and application developer. His new role will entail assisting accredited laboratories with their water quality data submissions and developing internal reports for the management of DWGB programs.

Allen Arbeau was hired in December as the Drinking Water and Groundwater Bureau’s Information Technology Manager. He supervises the Bureau’s Information Management section, which is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our internal databases, as well as federal reporting requirements. Allen came to us from the City of Dover, where he worked for eight years as their IT Systems Administrator.
