NH Drought Management Team (DMT) Meeting Thursday, September 3, 2020

Concord, NH – Today, in response to the increasing concerns related to the drought, Governor Chris Sununu announced that New Hampshire’s Drought Management Team (DMT) will convene for the second time this year. With over 90% of the state is experiencing drought, which is up from 70% last week. Last week, portions of the state were elevated from “moderate drought” (D1) to “severe drought” (D2), including Rockingham County, Merrimack County, over half of Strafford County, as well as a small area of Belknap and Hillsborough county. The New Hampshire Drought Management Team will meet via video conference. The media are welcome to attend, but must RSVP before the meeting to ensure connectivity. At the meeting, an overview of drought conditions and impacts in the state will be discussed with key representatives across State Government, academia, industry and other organizations.
